Lhotse

Description
The summit of Lhotse 8,516 metres (27,940 ft) from half way between Dingboche and Chhukung. This was the only bit of sky visible at the time. One of the most difficult walls in the Himalayas it has been the site of many tragedies and is considered to have had only one true ascent to the summit via the face. Taken on Fuji Velvia slide film in 2004. Two decades later, this digitally remastered version is the result of scanning the original slide and applying modern AI sharpening tools.
